Our Recommended Books for Kids
Introducing children to literacy is just as important as speaking and practising English. I base my philosophy on demonstrating a love of reading with the children based on a blog post by The Art of Education which has some practical tips for supporting literacy in the classroom. Here are some of the books I use. I also have a subscription to Story Box Library and Vooks which are online reading resources where people read the books or the books are animated. This is useful as I am able to give my students home access to some of the books we read together. I use inspiration from Deep Space Sparkle to design activities to go with these books.
